Marcus Rashford will wear No.11 and Kobbie Mainoo No.16 for England at the World Cup, according to Manchester United squad reveal

Manchester United have confirmed that Marcus Rashford will wear the number 11 shirt for England at this summer’s FIFA World Cup, while teammate Kobbie Mainoo has been assigned the number 16 jersey.

The announcement came after Manchester United revealed the squad numbers of their 13 players selected for the England national team ahead of the tournament.

The full England squad list is expected to be officially released at 3pm on Tuesday, but the club disclosed the numbers early through its internal release.

Rashford will continue with the iconic number 11 shirt, which he also wore at Euro 2021 and the 2022 World Cup. He previously wore number 19 at the 2018 World Cup and number 22 at Euro 2016.

Mainoo, who made his first major international appearance at Euro 2024 wearing number 26, now steps into the number 16 shirt for the upcoming tournament.

The early reveal has generated interest among fans as England prepare for another major international campaign.
