The Croatian captain, aged 39, signed a one-year deal with the club, with an option to extend until June 2027. He becomes the latest high-profile addition under Massimiliano Allegri, who recently returned to manage the Rossoneri.

“I’m very happy to be here to start a new chapter in my career,” Modric said in a video shared on Milan’s social media. “A big hug to everyone.”

Modric was in Milan earlier on Monday to complete his medical, though local media report he will join training in August. His move follows Milan’s announcement last week and ends months of speculation about his next destination.
