AC Milan transfer target Victor Osimhen

AC Milan consider Victor Osimhen as a top transfer target amid striker uncertainty. Napoli unwilling to sell to Serie A rivals, reports reveal

Victor Osimhen has emerged as a major transfer temptation for AC Milan, with coach Massimiliano Allegri and club directors said to be seriously considering a move for the Nigerian striker ahead of the summer transfer window.

This development was revealed by Corriere della Sera journalist Carlos Passerini on his YouTube channel, as relayed by SempreMilan.

With Luka Jovic nearing the end of his contract and Tammy Abraham’s loan spell now concluded, Milan are assessing their attacking options. Among those being evaluated are Mateo Retegui and Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic, but Osimhen’s name has now entered the mix.

“Temptation Osimhen, not just a suggestion,” Passerini explained, stressing the seriousness of the Rossoneri’s interest. “It is a name that is on the mind of the management of Milan. It is a name that is also in the mind of Max Allegri. So this is the starting point.”

The 26-year-old forward, who recently enjoyed a prolific loan spell with Galatasaray—scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances—is currently on holiday in Nigeria. Despite rejecting big-money offers from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal, Osimhen remains focused on continuing his career in Europe.

Napoli, however, still hold the player’s rights and are reportedly demanding €75 million for clubs abroad. There is no formal release clause for Italian teams, which complicates the possibility of a direct sale to a Serie A rival such as Milan.

Passerini added that Napoli are reluctant to strengthen a potential title challenger and may resist any move that involves selling Osimhen domestically. Despite this, Osimhen is reportedly unwilling to return to Naples, hinting at a summer standoff that could dominate transfer headlines for months.

While Premier League interest in Osimhen lingers, with Manchester United reportedly revisiting the option, the strongest discussions at present appear to be circling Italy.

The situation has prompted further speculation about whether Milan might consider offloading a high-value asset like Rafael Leão to fund a move for the Nigerian striker.

Though they play different roles, some analysts suggest Osimhen’s goal output could be the difference-maker for Milan next season.
