Kore community in Dambatta, Kano, constructs and hands over three police offices to enhance security and support law enforcement efforts

Residents of the Kore community in Dambatta Local Government Area have constructed and handed over three office buildings to the police to strengthen security operations in the locality.

The offices at the Kore Police Division were commissioned on Thursday by the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, according to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

The project, funded and executed by community members, reflects efforts to support law enforcement and enhance safety in the area.

Alhaji Abubakar Fagwalawa, Vice Chairman of Dambatta Local Government, said the initiative complements ongoing security measures and commended the police for maintaining peace in recent months.

“Our local government is becoming more secure due to the commitment of the police. The arrest of high-profile kidnappers recently is a significant achievement,” he said.

CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori praised the community for demonstrating trust and cooperation.

“This initiative shows that security is a collective responsibility. When communities support the police in this manner, it strengthens our capacity to serve effectively,” he said, assuring residents that collaborative policing will remain a priority.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by Hon. Murtala Musa Kore, the Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee, Amb. Ali Hassan Bayero, village heads, religious and community leaders, security agency representatives, students, and media personnel.

The Kano State Police Command reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order through sustained partnerships with communities across the state.
