Honourable Abdulwasiu Danladi declares intention to contest Akinyele/Lagelu House of Representatives seat on APC platform, pledging grassroots development

Honourable Abdulwasiu Ajao, popularly known as Danladi, has formally declared his intention to contest the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The declaration, made during an APC Akinyele Local Government meeting in Moniya, Ibadan, was attended by party leaders, elders, and members.

Danladi, widely regarded as a grassroots-focused politician, emphasised his desire to deliver purposeful, people-centred representation.

An agricultural expert by training, Danladi has championed initiatives to improve agricultural productivity, strengthen rural livelihoods, and promote youth participation in agribusiness.

He outlined plans to unlock Akinyele and Lagelu’s agricultural potential through value chain development, private investment, and job creation for youths and women.

“I am committed to fostering food security, sustainable development, and grassroots economic empowerment,” Danladi said.

“We will also prioritise digital skills acquisition and innovation to prepare young people to compete in the modern economy.”

Beyond his legislative ambitions, Danladi is mobilising party members and residents for APC e-registration and revalidation exercises.

He described these efforts as critical to consolidating support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and strengthening the APC’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“Our focus is not just on elections but on building a strong, inclusive party structure that sustains good governance, economic recovery, and national development,” he said.

Danladi’s declaration was warmly received by APC leaders and members, many of whom praised his accessibility, grassroots appeal, and deep understanding of local challenges.
