Yan Diomande arrives in Spain to complete his £120m transfer from RB Leipzig to Real Madrid after choosing the LaLiga giants over Liverpool and PSG

RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande has arrived in Spain to complete his highly anticipated transfer to Real Madrid after the Spanish giants reached an agreement with the German club.

The 19-year-old left Leipzig’s team hotel in Austria to finalise the move, with both clubs agreeing on a transfer package that could rise to £120 million.

Real Madrid will pay an initial guaranteed fee of £107 million for the teenage attacker, while performance-related add-ons could increase the value of the deal to around £116 million. A further £4 million in bonuses considered more difficult to achieve is also included in the agreement.

The Yan Diomande Real Madrid transfer represents one of the biggest deals of the summer window and underlines Madrid’s continued investment in young attacking talent.

Diomande reportedly chose Real Madrid despite strong interest from Premier League giants Liverpool and French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The move comes after Real Madrid manager José Mourinho pushed for the club to sign the youngster as part of his plans to strengthen the team’s attacking options with more pace and creativity.

The teenager impressed during his time at RB Leipzig, attracting attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs with his speed, technical ability and attacking threat.

Real Madrid see Diomande as a long-term addition who can contribute immediately while continuing his development at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Once the final paperwork is completed, the youngster is expected to undergo his medical before being officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player.
