Juventus agree personal terms with Nick Woltemade as talks with Newcastle continue over a loan fee ahead of the transfer deadline

Juventus have agreed personal terms with Newcastle United forward Nick Woltemade, with negotiations now focused on the loan fee for a potential move to Turin, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Romano reported that the German forward wants the move, while Juventus and Newcastle continue discussions over the financial terms of the proposed Woltemade loan move.

“Juventus have agreed on personal terms with Nick Woltemade who wants the move,” Romano wrote on X.

He added that negotiations between the clubs are taking place over the loan fee and confirmed that the transfer would be structured as a loan.

The development represents a significant turn in Woltemade’s Newcastle career, with the 24-year-old having joined the Premier League club from VfB Stuttgart last summer in a club-record deal worth around £69 million.

Woltemade made an encouraging start to life at Newcastle but struggled to establish himself consistently during his first Premier League campaign. He has subsequently become the subject of interest from several European clubs as Newcastle consider a temporary departure.

Juventus have emerged as the leading destination, with the Italian giants looking to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes.
