The Turkish club are reportedly ready to offload the Super Eagles midfielder for over €10m after just one season in Istanbul

Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas are reportedly prepared to sell Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi following a difficult debut season, with the club open to offers exceeding €10 million as they look to restructure their squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The Super Eagles midfielder, who joined Besiktas from Leicester City in the summer of 2025 for around €8 million, has struggled to cement a consistent role under new manager Vincenzo Italiano, who is understood to have excluded him from his tactical plans for the upcoming season.

The 28-year-old Wilfred Ndidi, a key figure for Nigeria’s national team, now faces an uncertain future just a year after arriving in Istanbul, with the club prioritising both financial balance and squad restructuring.

Reports from Turkish media outlets Fanatik and Kartal Record suggest Besiktas are actively considering offers as part of a wider overhaul, with several players also placed on the transfer list as the club attempts to comply with foreign player quota regulations and manage wage demands.

Fellow squad member Felix Uduokhai is also believed to be among those who could leave, as Besiktas look to streamline their squad following a disappointing campaign that fell short of expectations.

Interest in Ndidi is reportedly emerging from multiple markets, with clubs in the Saudi Pro League closely monitoring his situation.

The Middle East remains the most likely destination should he depart this summer, although a return to the Premier League has also been discussed in reports, despite currently limited concrete links.

Ndidi was previously linked with Manchester United, but a move now appears unlikely following the club’s recent midfield reinforcements.

Despite ongoing speculation, the midfielder is expected to return for pre-season training on June 28, while discussions over his long-term future continue behind the scenes.

He remains under contract with Besiktas for another two years, but the club’s stance suggests a permanent departure could be finalised before the start of the new season if a suitable offer is received.
