Speaking during his monthly media chat in Abuja, Wike insisted that Chief Dan Orbih’s election as National Vice Chairman (South-South) must be respected.

“Our South-South zonal congress that was held must be upheld. If they want another round of crisis, so be it,” he said bluntly.

Wike, known for his no-holds-barred political commentary, took direct aim at the PDP’s Acting National Chairman, accusing him of misinforming the public by claiming governors did not support the congress.

“Some people came out to say PDP governors were not in support of the South-South congress. Where are they now?” he challenged.

The minister’s comments have reopened old wounds within the PDP, which is still recovering from internal battles that nearly derailed it ahead of the 2023 general elections.
