Ozbek praised Osimhen’s professionalism and impact on the pitch, describing him as “extraordinary” and comparing him to club legend Metin Oktay in terms of excitement.

“Osimhen is the player that excites me the most after Metin Oktay among the strikers who have ever come to Galatasaray. He competes with high intensity even in training. Sometimes we fear he might get injured, but he takes great care of himself,” Ozbek said.

Addressing speculation over Osimhen’s future, Ozbek added, “There is no exit clause in Osimhen’s contract. He is an extremely successful player who will serve Galatasaray for many years.”

Osimhen, 27, joined Galatasaray permanently last summer in a €75 million deal after an initial loan.

He has scored 17 goals and provided six assists in 25 official appearances this season, including seven goals in the Champions League, helping the club reach the Round of 16 for the first time in 12 years, where they are set to face Liverpool.
