Uzodimma, represented by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Barrister Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, said the support group would be central to driving community engagement across local government areas and strengthening backing for the President in the South-East.

Uzodimma described Renewed Hope as an initiative designed to connect government policies with the needs of citizens, urging the ambassadors to act as a bridge between communities and the administration through effective communication and advocacy.

“As ambassadors, you must listen to the needs and aspirations of your communities and transmit them to the government for proper attention,” Onyejeocha said on Uzodimma’s behalf, adding that the group had a clear mandate to promote Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Abia APC Chairman Dr Kingsley Ononogbo thanked the President for projects he said had advanced development in the South-East, including the establishment of the South-East Development Commission and approvals for key infrastructure.

Ononogbo tasked the ambassadors with political education, civic engagement, and dialogue at the grassroots.

State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda, Chief Henry Ikoh, said the ambassadors would work alongside the Abia APC structure to mobilise support across the state’s wards and local governments.
