Tinubu APC Delta primary victory confirmed after president secured 407,646 votes in the state exercise ahead of 2027

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has secured a decisive victory in the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress conducted in Delta ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The result was announced on Saturday at the APC State Secretariat in Asaba by Sheriff Oborevwori, who served as the state collation officer for the exercise.

According to Sheriff Oborevwori, Bola Tinubu polled 407,646 votes to emerge winner of the Tinubu APC Delta primary, while his challenger, Stanley Osifo, recorded zero votes.

The governor disclosed that the APC had 407,815 registered members in the state, with 407,646 members accredited and participating in the exercise conducted across the 270 wards in Delta State.

“As the collation officer, I hereby announce that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, having scored the highest number of votes, is declared the winner of the APC presidential primary election in Delta State,” Sheriff Oborevwori stated.

Following the announcement, the governor commended party members for what he described as an impressive turnout and active participation in the primary election.

He said the outcome demonstrated the unity and strength of the APC in Delta State ahead of the 2027 elections.

Sheriff Oborevwori also praised members in riverine communities for overcoming transportation and terrain challenges to participate in the exercise.

According to him, the direct primary system adopted by the APC enhanced internal democracy and encouraged broader participation among party members across the state.

“When you get your internal democracy right, people will be happy, and the result will reflect it,” he said.

The governor added that the massive support recorded for Bola Tinubu reflected growing confidence in the President and the APC’s leadership.

He further credited Renewed Hope Ambassadors at ward and local government levels for mobilising party supporters during the primary.

The Tinubu APC Delta primary exercise was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, party stakeholders and supporters.

Funkekeme Solomon served as President Tinubu’s agent during the exercise, while Kelvin Omas Ezekiel represented Stanley Osifo.
