Thierry Henry sends support to Arsenal after Champions League final loss to PSG, urging the team to learn from defeat and come back stronger

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has sent a message of encouragement to his former club following their Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.

Henry was present at the stadium in Budapest as Arsenal fell to PSG on penalties after a 1-1 draw in a tense and closely contested final.

Speaking to CBS Sports, the former striker urged Arsenal not to dwell on the disappointment, insisting the team had still achieved a strong season despite the painful loss.

He said reaching the Champions League final and pushing one of Europe’s strongest sides to a penalty shoot-out reflected real progress for the club.

Henry added that setbacks of this nature can serve as valuable lessons for growth and future success.

“To reach the Champions League final with the best teams in Europe and fight to a penalty shootout, as well as winning the Premier League, this is a great season for Arsenal Football Club,” he said.

“You just lost to a very good team. You pushed them to their limits. But failure can also help you grow, so feel it, but don’t dwell on it. We will be back.”

Arsenal’s defeat to PSG, managed by Luis Enrique, ended their hopes of lifting the Champions League trophy this season, but the performance was widely seen as competitive and hard-fought.

Henry’s remarks have been viewed as a morale boost for the squad, as they look to regroup and challenge again in the next campaign.
