The agreement follows a verbal understanding between both parties, with the new deal expected to be signed soon.

Courtois’ current contract expires in June 2027. However, the reported agreement means he is expected to continue guarding Real Madrid’s goal during the 2027/28 campaign.

The development would provide continuity for the Spanish giants, who regard the experienced goalkeeper as an important part of their squad.
