Sporting Lagos Ikorodu City derby preparations continue as coach Jeffery Buter says his players are ready despite fatigue ahead of the NPFL clash

“There are a lot of games, there is fatigue, we are trying to rest players to keep them fresh for the next game,” Buter told Sporting Lagos’ media team.

The coach said the club had been carefully monitoring the workload of players who featured against Barau FC and those who were not involved in the previous fixture.

“We are going to be ready; we just have to rest and manage the stress level of those that featured against Barau FC last Saturday and those that didn’t feature,” he said.

The short turnaround between fixtures means Buter must balance freshness with continuity as Sporting Lagos seek a positive result against their local rivals.

The derby will be played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, providing both teams with a familiar Lagos setting for what is expected to be a competitive encounter.
