Saka returned to action on Saturday, coming off the bench in Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Newcastle United, marking his first appearance in nearly a month.

Arsenal receive timely boost as Saka returns hopes narrative gained traction after the win, secured by a decisive goal from Eberechi Eze, which moved Mikel Arteta’s side three points clear of Manchester City.

Despite a relatively modest return of two goals since December and a season disrupted by injuries, Rooney emphasised the winger’s influence within the squad.
