Real Madrid new signings have joined José Mourinho’s squad, with Bernardo Silva, Cucurella and four others receiving their 2026/27 shirt numbers

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho welcomed six new signings into his first-team squad in Madrid on Monday, August 10, 2026, as Bernardo Silva, Yan Diomande, Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konaté, Denzel Dumfries and Carlos Espí joined the group and received their official shirt numbers for the 2026/27 season.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on Monday, reporting that the six arrivals had now joined Mourinho’s squad as Real Madrid prepared for the new campaign.

“Real Madrid new signings have now all joined Jose Mourinho’s squad,” Romano wrote, adding that their shirt numbers had also been unveiled.

The confirmed numbers give Silva the number 20 shirt, while Cucurella will wear 17 and Konaté 16. Dumfries has been handed 24, Espí will wear 19 and teenage winger Diomande takes number 25.

The announcement provides a clearer picture of Mourinho’s squad after a busy summer in Madrid, with the Portuguese manager overseeing a significant reshaping of the team ahead of the new season.

Bernardo Silva is arguably the most experienced addition. The Portugal international joined Real Madrid after leaving Manchester City and brings extensive Premier League and Champions League experience to Mourinho’s midfield.
