PSG Mbappe unpaid wages ruling orders the French club to pay about €60m in salaries and bonuses to Kylian Mbappe

A French labour court on Tuesday ordered Paris Saint Germain to pay former striker Kylian Mbappe about 60 million euros in unpaid wages and bonuses.

The ruling follows a legal dispute after Mbappe, captain of the France national team, left PSG in June 2024 to join Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The court rejected Mbappe’s wider claim of more than 260 million euros against the club, while also dismissing PSG’s counter demand of 440 million euros.

Judges ruled that the Paris based club owed the forward outstanding salary and performance related bonuses accumulated before his departure.

Mbappe had also argued that PSG applied an incorrect French legal classification to his contract, but the court dismissed that claim.

The PSG Mbappe unpaid wages case has drawn intense public interest due to the scale of the financial demands and the player’s profile.

Paris Saint Germain did not immediately indicate whether the club plans to appeal the decision.
