PalmPay global fintech recognition grows with CNBC and Statista 2025 listing, affirming its impact, innovation, and growth in emerging markets like Nigeria

PalmPay has once again earned global fintech recognition, making the 2025 CNBC and Statista list of the Top 300 Fintech Companies in the World.

This marks the second year in a row the digital bank is honoured alongside global leaders like Revolut, Nubank, and Ant Group.

Sofia Zab, the Founding Chief Marketing Officer at PalmPay, said the ranking affirms the company’s impact and mission.

“To be recognised as one of the world’s top fintech companies by CNBC and Statista is a powerful affirmation of our mission to build a more inclusive financial system,” she said.

With over 35 million users and up to 15 million daily transactions, PalmPay is Nigeria’s leading neobank. The app offers services such as transfers, savings, credit, insurance, and bill payments, supported by a robust network of over one million agents and merchant partners.

Group Chief Commercial Officer Jiapei Yan said PalmPay is focused on building infrastructure that suits emerging markets.

“We are creating the infrastructure for a connected digital economy where people and businesses can thrive through reliable, inclusive financial tools,” he said.

PalmPay recently expanded to Tanzania and Bangladesh, using device financing as an entry point to financial services.
