He scored 20 goals in 17 matches for Kasımpaşa before adding 10 more goals in 12 appearances after joining Galatasaray mid-season.

Speaking on his record, Diagne said he would only be comfortable seeing Osimhen surpass the milestone, while insisting no other player is likely to achieve it.

“I’m happy, very happy. I have scored a lot of goals,” Diagne said, as quoted by Turkish newspaper Vatan.

“Nobody has broken my goal record in the Super League. They probably won’t be able to. I could only accept it if my friend Osimhen broke it.”

Osimhen, who currently plays for Galatasaray, has scored 15 Super Lig goals this season, continuing his impressive form in Turkish football.

His compatriot Paul Onuachu has also been prolific in the league, scoring 22 goals in the same campaign.
