Liverpool manager Arne Slot warns Victor Osimhen is a major threat for Galatasaray ahead of their Champions League clash

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has singled out Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as a key threat ahead of their UEFA Champions League fixture against Galatasaray.

Speaking before Tuesday’s match, Slot praised Osimhen’s versatility and goal-scoring ability, highlighting his danger during quick counter-attacks and in the penalty box.

“Osimhen can score from crosses and in different ways, but he is a big danger when the team starts a quick counter-attack,” Slot said.

He also noted that Galatasaray’s attack isn’t limited to Osimhen, citing the pace of Baris Alper Yilmaz as a previous challenge in their September 30, 2025, Champions League encounter, which Galatasaray won 1-0 thanks to Osimhen’s 16th-minute penalty their first European victory over Liverpool that season.

The match promises to test Liverpool’s defense against the pace and attacking threat of Galatasaray’s forwards.
