The proposed move, described as one of the most significant developments in the summer window so far, highlights the continued demand for the Super Eagles forward following an outstanding season in Turkey.

The Osimhen €120m transfer story emerged through Turkish football journalist Burhan Can Terzi, who claimed that the European club has signalled readiness to submit a formal bid should Galatasaray open negotiations.

However, the reigning Turkish champions are said to have shown no interest in entering discussions at this stage.

Osimhen enjoyed a prolific campaign with Galatasaray, scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. His contributions were instrumental in helping the Istanbul club retain their domestic league title.

The Nigerian striker’s performances have once again placed him at the centre of Europe’s transfer spotlight, with several top clubs previously linked to him, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly been monitoring his situation as they consider long-term attacking options, particularly amid speculation surrounding the future of Julian Alvarez.

According to Terzi, Galatasaray officials were directly informed of the €120 million valuation, but the club responded cautiously, indicating a desire to retain their star forward ahead of the new season.

“A European club has informed Galatasaray officials that they are willing to pay a transfer fee of 120 million Euros for Osimhen,” Terzi was quoted as saying. “Galatasaray management did not provide a favourable response. Should Galatasaray approve negotiations, a formal offer will be submitted.”

Despite growing speculation, Galatasaray are understood to view Osimhen as central to their ambitions both domestically and in European competition next season.
