Ondo APC chieftain Prince Emorioloye abducted in Igbokoda; police launch full investigation to ensure his safe release

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of All Progressives Congress chieftain, Prince Owoloemi Emorioloye, in Ilaje Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson Abayomi Jimoh disclosed the development stating that a full-scale investigation has commenced.

Prince Emorioloye, also known as Emotel and Director-General of Asiwaju Media Team, was reportedly taken from his office in Igbokoda, the local government headquarters, by armed men in two Hilux vehicles.

His current whereabouts remain unknown.

Ilaje Local Government Chairman, Maurice Oripenaye, condemned the incident as a “flagrant violation of public safety” and called on security agencies to ensure the immediate and safe release of the politician.

He described the abduction as “utterly condemnable and unacceptable” and urged residents to remain calm.

Eyewitnesses told the council that Prince Emorioloye was forcefully removed from his office in broad daylight in a bustling commercial area.

The chairman confirmed that authorities, including the Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services, Nigerian Army, and local security networks, have been contacted to coordinate a swift response.

The Police Public Relations Officer reiterated that security measures are in place to safeguard lives and property across the state while investigations continue.

The incident has heightened tension within the Ilaje community, where residents remain anxious about the safety of the abducted APC chieftain.
