Speaking during the inauguration of the rehabilitation of Old Keffi Road, from Kado Village to Dei Dei, Abuja, on Tuesday, Wike said the project was a fulfilment of the President’s pledge to the area’s traders and residents.

He noted that the ongoing road works, once completed, would transform the community by improving accessibility, easing traffic flow, and stimulating economic activity.

“By the time this road is completed, you will see the transformation it will bring,” Wike said. “Tinubu is working hard to change things for the better, both for Nigerians and residents of Abuja.”

Wike revealed that the FCT Administration has inaugurated several projects and has lined up 27 additional projects for commissioning — a milestone he described as unprecedented in Abuja’s history.

He urged residents to continue supporting President Tinubu’s government, which he described as one that “makes promises and fulfils them.”

He also praised the Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, Christopher Maikalangu, for his responsiveness to community needs, urging citizens to elect leaders who understand and prioritise their people’s welfare.

“A true representative is one who knows the needs of the people and ensures they are met,” Wike said, commending Maikalangu for his commitment to continuity and accountability.

On her part, the FCT Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, lauded Tinubu for his consistent support of infrastructure renewal projects that directly impact citizens’ lives.

She described the Old Keffi Road rehabilitation as a “testimony of President Tinubu’s vision of connectivity, accessibility, and economic growth for the FCT.”

According to Mahmoud, the project serves thousands of commuters daily, reduces travel time, and promotes safety and socio-economic development across the axis.
