The squad includes Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, alongside Oscar Bobb and Jørgen Strand Larsen, forming a forward line that has raised expectations ahead of the tournament.

Arsenal captain Ødegaard, who recently enjoyed a successful season at club level, is expected to play a central leadership role as Norway prepares for its World Cup campaign.

Goalkeeper Sander Tangvik earned a surprise inclusion in the 26-man squad after an injury to Mathias Dyngeland, making him the only uncapped player selected.

The decision was also influenced by the inability of former Russia Under-21 goalkeeper Nikita Haikin to complete a nationality switch in time for the tournament.

Defender Sondre Langås noted the unusual nature of the squad announcement, admitting players were uncertain until the final moment the video ended.

Norway’s squad is considered one of its strongest in recent years, with a blend of established European-based players and emerging talents across all departments.
