NNL confirms four clubs promoted to NPFL and 10 relegated to NLO after end-of-season board meeting in Ikenne

The Nigeria National League has officially confirmed the promotion of four clubs to the Nigeria Premier Football League, alongside the relegation of 10 teams to the Nationwide League One following its end-of-season board meeting.

NNL promotion and relegation 2026 clubs decision was ratified at a meeting held in Ikenne, where league officials reviewed the conclusion of the 2025–26 season.

The promoted sides include Doma United, Sporting Lagos, Ranchers Bees and Inter Lagos, all of whom secured elevation to Nigeria’s top-flight football division after strong campaigns.

At the other end of the table, clubs such as Gombe United, Sporting Supreme, Mighty Jets, City FC and Dakkada FC were among those relegated to the lower tier.

Others affected by relegation include Abia Comets, Gateway FC, First Bank FC, Osun United and Rovers FC, following a disappointing season performance.

Sporting Lagos emerged as champions of the 2025–26 NNL season, capping a successful campaign with promotion and league glory.
