The achievement came after a fiercely contested bout against Zimbabwe, with Nigerian judoka Oghogho demonstrating exceptional skill, strength, and determination to secure a podium finish.

A statement by Kola Daniel, Special Assistant on Media to the Office of the NSC Director General, praised Oghogho’s performance, noting that it added to Team Nigeria’s growing medal tally at the Games and reinforced the country’s rising reputation in judo.

“The victory adds to Team Nigeria’s growing medal tally at the Games and highlights the country’s rising profile in judo,” the statement read.
