Michael Olise scored twice and set a Bundesliga assist record as Bayern Munich demolished Wolfsburg 8-1 at the Allianz Arena to extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.

Bayern Munich were ruthless from the start, forcing Wolfsburg into two own goals while Harry Kane, Luis Diaz, Leon Goretzka, and Raphael Guerreiro also found the net.

The victory extended Bayern’s unbeaten streak to 16 league games, dropping only four points this season, the best record in Europe’s top-five leagues.

Olise’s two assists brought his Bundesliga tally to 25 in just 50 league appearances, making him the fastest player to reach that mark in the competition’s history.

The 22-year-old also scored his first goal of the game early in the second half, adding to Bayern’s relentless attacking display.

The rout continued Bayern’s dominance over Wolfsburg, with 21 wins and two draws in their last 23 meetings across all competitions since 2015.

Wolfsburg’s Killian Fischer and Moritz Jenz were unfortunate in their defensive errors, each conceding own goals in a humiliating defeat.

Diaz opened the scoring with Olise’s assist, before Kane, Guerreiro, and Olise struck inside an eight-minute spell midway through the second half.

Goretzka rounded off the scoring with Bayern’s 63rd league goal this season, the most in Bundesliga history after 16 matchdays.

Kane’s strike marked his 20th goal of the campaign, keeping him on pace to challenge Robert Lewandowski’s record of 41 league goals in a single season.

Elsewhere, Borussia Moenchengladbach maintained momentum with a 4-0 victory over Augsburg, highlighted by a brace from Haris Tabakovic.
