Former Marcelo Vieira, captain of Real Madrid, has praised several members of the club’s current squad, highlighting the qualities of talent, ambition and passion that continue to define the Spanish giants.

Speaking in a rapid-fire interview with Spanish newspaper AS (Spanish newspaper), Marcelo was asked to identify players who best represent key attributes within the team.

The Brazilian football legend named Rodrygo Goes as the most talented player in the squad.

Marcelo described the forward as a naturally gifted footballer who continues to shine for the club.

According to Marcelo, the most ambitious player in the current Real Madrid squad is Kylian Mbappé, whose drive and determination have become central to the team’s competitive edge.

Marcelo also singled out Federico Valverde as the most passionate player in the team, praising the midfielder’s relentless energy and commitment on the pitch.

Although Marcelo never played alongside Kylian Mbappé at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the Brazilian defender shared the dressing room with both Rodrygo Goes and Federico Valverde during his successful spell at the club.

Marcelo spent more than a decade at Real Madrid, winning numerous domestic and European titles and establishing himself as one of the most decorated full-backs in modern football.
