Lineker gives his view on PSG ahead of the Champions League final against Arsenal, backing PSG but warning Arsenal can still win in Budapest

Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Lineker said the Arsenal PSG Champions League final assessment places the London club as “second favourites” ahead of the showdown in Budapest on May 30.

“I still think they’re second favourites because PSG, as we know, are an incredibly good side,” Lineker said, underlining the perceived strength of the French champions.

However, he also noted that Arsenal remain one of the few teams capable of challenging the Parisians at the highest level, adding that an Arsenal victory would complete a remarkable double after their domestic success.

“But Arsenal, if anyone can beat them, it’s probably Arsenal. And what a double that would be,” he added.

Arsenal PSG Champions League final narrative has also attracted similar views from other pundits, including former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, who has also backed Paris Saint-Germain as favourites while acknowledging Arsenal’s threat.
