Mancini returns to the role after previously guiding Italy between 2018 and 2023, a spell highlighted by the country’s triumph at UEFA Euro 2020, where the Azzurri defeated England on penalties at Wembley to claim their second European Championship title.

His first tenure also saw Italy embark on a record-breaking unbeaten run, restoring the national team’s reputation after failing to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The experienced manager now faces the task of rebuilding the squad and preparing Italy for upcoming international competitions, with expectations high following his successful first spell in charge.
