Gerrard made the assertion while speaking on The Overlap’s Stick to Football segment, where he dismissed suggestions from Gary Neville that Salah could move to Premier League rivals such as Chelsea or Arsenal.

“I don’t think he would do that,” Gerrard said, insisting that a switch within England is unlikely for the Egyptian forward.

The speculation gained momentum after Gerrard pointed to his experience in the Middle East, noting the high regard for the player in the region. He said the Saudi Pro League would be his most likely destination.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s another big club somewhere else, but I don’t think he will go to a rival in England. I think it will be Saudi,” he added.

Salah has confirmed that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the current campaign, ending a successful spell at the club where he established himself as one of the Premier League’s most prolific forwards.

The prospect of a move to Saudi Arabia reflects the league’s continued push to attract elite global talent, following a wave of high-profile transfers in recent seasons.
