FIFA U-17 World Cup draw 2026 confirmed for Zurich as officials prepare for Qatar men’s and Morocco women’s youth tournaments

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) on Wednesday confirmed that the official draws for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar and the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco will take place at its headquarters in Zurich on 21 May 2026.

Draw for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup announcement follows the successful staging of both competitions in the previous edition, which saw Portugal claim the men’s title in Qatar’s expanded 48-team tournament, while North Korea (Korea DPR) lifted the women’s trophy in Morocco’s 24-team competition.

FIFA noted that both tournaments continue to play a key role in developing youth football globally, providing a competitive platform for emerging talent across continents.

The upcoming draw ceremony will feature football legends alongside representatives from the host nations, with the event scheduled for global live broadcast.

The men’s U-17 World Cup in Qatar is set to run from 19 November to 13 December 2026, while the women’s edition in Morocco will take place from 17 October to 7 November 2026.
