FCT Police arrest 11 suspects for drug trafficking, recover 68 bags of cannabis in Abuja raids to dismantle supply networks and curb crime

FCT Police have arrested 11 suspects for drug trafficking during coordinated operations across black spots in the nation’s capital.

Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh confirmed the development in a statement on Sunday in Abuja. She explained that the raids were carried out by the Command’s Anti-Narcotics Unit as part of a sustained crackdown on criminal supply chains.

“The raids led to the recovery of 68 bags of substances believed to be cannabis. The arrests are part of ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal supply networks and reduce drug-fuelled crimes within the nation’s capital,” Adeh stated.

She described the arrests as a significant step in dismantling trafficking rings, curbing drug-related crimes, and ensuring communities are protected from harmful substances.
