El-Kanemi Warriors will battle Ikorodu City in the 2026 President Federation Cup final after both sides advanced dramatically from the semi-finals

Three-time champions El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lock horns with impressive giant-killers Ikorodu City in the men’s final of this year’s President Federation Cup.

The much-anticipated clash comes after both teams produced strong performances in the semi-finals on Wednesday. In Katsina, El-Kanemi Warriors comfortably defeated Wikki Tourists 3-1 to reach their second final in two years.

Meanwhile, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Ikorodu City edged past Nasarawa United 4-2 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

This will mark a significant moment for Ikorodu City, who have earned widespread admiration this season for their fearless approach and ability to upset more established NPFL sides. The Lagos-based club now stands on the verge of a historic first major trophy.

El-Kanemi Warriors, winners in 1991, 1992 and 2024, remain one of Nigeria’s most respected cup teams with a proud tradition of success in this competition.

Heartland Queens of Owerri will host Ibom Angels in Aba, and Edo Queens welcome Nasarawa Amazons in Anyigba.
