Edo police arrest 10 suspected kidnappers and rescue a female victim from Eko Uwaya forest in Ekpoma during a joint operation with vigilantes

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command, in collaboration with local vigilantes and hunters, have arrested 10 suspected kidnappers and rescued a kidnapped woman from Eko Uwaya forest.

The operation followed credible intelligence that armed men had abducted a middle-aged woman and were demanding N10 million ransom.

The police, assisted by vigilantes and hunters, tracked the suspects deep into the forest and successfully rescued the woman unharmed.

The rescued victim identified some of the suspects, who have now been transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping and Cybercrime Unit of the Edo State Police Command for profiling and prosecution.
