A shocking Delta State incident occurred in Agbarho where a man allegedly killed his mother. Police confirm investigation is ongoing

Delta State incident reports have emerged from the Agbarho community in Ughelli North Local Government Area, where a young man identified as Emem allegedly murdered his mother under disturbing circumstances.

The tragic event reportedly happened around 10:00 p.m. on Thursday at Eferemor Street by Ovie House. Witnesses said the suspect, believed to have shown signs of mental instability in the past, fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Family sources disclosed that it was Emem’s younger brother who returned home and discovered their mother’s lifeless body. Authorities were quickly alerted, and the police have since evacuated the remains to a morgue in the community.

Residents further alleged that the suspect had previously displayed troubling behavior, raising concerns about his mental health. However, as at the time of filing this report, Emem has not been arrested.

Attempts to reach the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, for an official statement were unsuccessful as calls and messages were not returned.
