Christantus Uche Transfer Move attracts AC Milan and Real Betis interest after his loan spell at Crystal Palace ends without a permanent deal

Nigerian forward Christantus Uche is attracting renewed transfer interest from AC Milan and Real Betis as the 23-year-old prepares to return to Getafe following an underwhelming loan spell at Crystal Palace that ended without a permanent agreement, according to reports.

Uche’s representatives are understood to believe a summer exit is increasingly likely, with Getafe reportedly open to offers should suitable proposals arrive during the transfer window.

The forward, who previously came close to a move to AC Milan before joining Crystal Palace, remains on the radar of the Italian giants, who continue to monitor his development as they assess attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season.

Real Betis are also said to be tracking the situation closely, although Getafe are believed to be reluctant to sanction a transfer to a domestic rival within La Liga.

Uche’s loan spell at Crystal Palace produced 14 appearances across all competitions and one assist, a return that fell short of expectations but included flashes of individual quality.

His most notable moment came in the UEFA Europa Conference League, where he scored a standout trivela strike against KuPS Kuopio, a goal widely praised for its technique and execution.

Despite that highlight, Palace manager Oliver Glasner was reportedly unconvinced by the Nigerian’s overall suitability for Premier League demands, limiting his involvement as the season progressed.

Under the terms of the loan agreement, Crystal Palace would have been obliged to pay €20 million had Uche started 10 Premier League matches, but that condition was not met, and no permanent deal was triggered.

The decision leaves Uche returning to Getafe, where he is expected to be reintegrated into the squad while the Spanish club considers its options amid growing external interest.

A source close to the situation suggested that Getafe view the player as an asset but remain open to negotiations if valuation expectations are met.

The situation presents a critical crossroads in Uche’s career, with interest from top European clubs offering him another opportunity to establish himself at a higher competitive level.
