The 33-year-old striker’s extension, announced by Bayern on Thursday, November 5, 2026, comes as he enters the final year of his previous four-year agreement, which he signed following his £86m transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023.

Kane’s decision to remain in Munich follows an exceptional spell in Germany, where his goalscoring consistency and leadership have helped establish him as one of the club’s most influential players.

Speaking after signing the new deal, the England international said he was delighted to continue his journey with the Bundesliga giants, highlighting his connection with the club, supporters and city.

“I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich,” Kane said.

“We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager. It makes me very proud to be part of this club.

“My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I’m now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club.”

His contract extension comes on the back of a remarkable 2025/26 campaign, during which he scored 61 goals in 51 appearances for Bayern across all competitions, helping the club secure the Bundesliga title, the DFB-Pokal and the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.

He also registered 73 goals in 65 appearances for Bayern and England during the campaign, underlining his outstanding form at both club and international levels.

The prolific forward’s achievements were further recognised last month when he won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, becoming the first Englishman since Michael Owen in 2001 to claim football’s prestigious individual award.

Since arriving from Tottenham, Kane has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances for Bayern, while winning two Bundesliga titles, a German Cup and two Franz Beckenbauer Supercups.

He has also finished as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer in each of his three seasons with the club and won the European Golden Shoe twice, in 2023/24 and 2025/26.

Bayern president Herbert Hainer welcomed the extension, describing Kane’s journey from a major transfer signing to an influential figure in the club’s history as a special development.

The club’s chief executive, Jan-Christian Dreesen, also praised the striker’s contribution, noting that his goals, influence and leadership had made him an important figure both on and off the pitch.

Kane’s continued presence is expected to provide stability to Bayern’s attacking plans as the club seeks to maintain its domestic dominance and strengthen its position in European football.

For the England captain, the new agreement represents another chapter in a career that has increasingly combined individual recognition with major team honours, following his move to Germany in pursuit of the silverware that had eluded him for much of his time at Tottenham.
