Barcelona vs Levante ends 3-0 as Bernal, de Jong and López score, ending Barca’s losing streak and reclaiming top spot in La Liga

Barcelona returned to winning ways in La Liga with a commanding 3-0 victory over Levante at the Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday.

The result ended Barcelona’s two-game losing streak and allowed them to reclaim the top spot in the league following Real Madrid’s surprise defeat at Osasuna.

Teenage midfielder Marc Bernal opened the scoring in the 4th minute, capitalising on a precise cross from Eric Garcia, marking his second goal in three games for the club.

Frenkie de Jong doubled the lead in the 32nd minute, side-footing home his first goal for Barcelona in 13 months from a clever assist by João Cancelo.

Substitute Fermín López sealed the victory in the 81st minute with a powerful 20-yard left-foot strike past Levante goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.

Despite Barcelona’s dominance, the home side’s high defensive line allowed Levante several chances. Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia made crucial saves to deny attempts from Carlos Alvarez and Jon Olasagasti, while Ryan produced a spectacular double save to prevent the scoreline from widening.

Barcelona had further opportunities, including a post from Cancelo’s cross, a blocked shot from Raphinha, and a misfired effort from Jules Kounde.
