Transfer journalists Fabrizio Romano and Gerard Romero reported on Thursday that Barcelona had formally approached Dortmund after reaching an agreement on personal terms with the 24-year-old winger.

“Karim Adeyemi agreed terms with Barcelona and informed BVB he only wants Barça move,” Romano wrote on X.

Romano added that Adeyemi, whose contract with Dortmund expires in June 2027, is not planning to sign an extension, while Barcelona are awaiting the Bundesliga club’s response to their offer.

The pursuit of Adeyemi comes shortly after Barcelona completed the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United, indicating that head coach Hansi Flick is keen to add further pace and depth to his attacking options before the start of the new campaign.

Adeyemi enjoyed another productive season with Dortmund, scoring 10 goals and providing several assists across all competitions.

Widely regarded as one of Europe’s quickest forwards, the Germany international has remained a regular member of the national team despite missing the country’s 2026 FIFA World Cup squad through injury.

Barcelona’s interest has also fuelled fresh speculation over the future of Brazilian winger Raphinha.

Reports from Barça Blaugranes suggested that, following the end of his World Cup campaign, the 29-year-old could now consider a potential move to Saudi Arabia, with Adeyemi viewed as a possible long-term replacement if the Brazilian departs.

Neither Barcelona nor Borussia Dortmund has officially commented on the reported offer.

The move reflects Barcelona’s continued efforts to reshape their squad under Flick after reclaiming domestic success.
