Super Falcons duo Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo helped AS Roma Women win the 2025/26 Serie A Femminile title with a dominant season

Super Falcons players Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo have made history in Italian women’s football after playing key roles in AS Roma Women’s 2025/26 Serie A Femminile title victory.

AS Roma Women sealed the championship on Saturday with a confident 2-0 win over Ternana Women at the Stadio Tre Fontane, a result that confirmed their Scudetto triumph with two matches remaining.

Midfielder Manuela Giugliano scored both goals as Roma extended their dominance at the top of the table.

The victory took Roma to 49 points, six ahead of Inter Milan Women, making it mathematically impossible for their closest rivals to catch up due to head-to-head superiority.

The title run was powered by a strong 15-game unbeaten streak, which ultimately separated Roma from the rest of the league.

Rinsola Babajide, who joined Roma in July 2025 from UD Tenerife, made an immediate impact by scoring on her league debut against Parma.

She went on to register two goals and one assist in nine league appearances, contributing effectively in a rotation role.

Babajide celebrated the achievement on social media, describing the moment as a “Champions of Italy” milestone in her debut season.

Shukurat Oladipo, on the other hand, established herself as a defensive mainstay in her first full European campaign after joining from FC Robo Queens in early 2025.

The 21-year-old featured in 16 league matches, playing over 1,200 minutes and earning trust for her consistency, positioning, and defensive awareness.

Oladipo’s performances helped Roma maintain one of the strongest defensive records in the league, strengthening her reputation as a rising talent in European football.

Both Nigerian players also featured in Roma’s UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying campaign, including the playoff win over Sporting Lisbon.

Roma’s latest success marks their third league title in four seasons, further cementing their dominance in Italian women’s football.

Attention now shifts to the Coppa Italia Femminile final against Juventus on May 24 in Vicenza, where Babajide, Oladipo, and their teammates will aim to complete a historic domestic double.
